Our Environmental Commitment.
At Qwerty Automotive, we are dedicated to implementing eco-friendly practices and prioritise our environmental responsibility across every aspect of our operations.
Our responsibility extends beyond offering high-quality used cars and top class customer service.
We hold ourselves responsible in driving a sustainable business, encompassing this through every decision we take to reduce our environmental footprint.
Energy-Efficient Facilities
Our workshop and dealership are equipped with energy-efficient lighting throughout and appliances, significantly reducing our energy consumption and carbon footprint. We have selected energy efficient equipment and tools with our environmental impact at the forefront of our business expansion and growth.
Zero Harm Initiative
Taking on a ‘Zero Harm’ initiative is an approach that helps us drive towards taking ownership and responsibility for safety by being proactive. Not only for our staff, the products we send out the door but also for our environment. As part of our preparation, we use AutoGlym products exclusively for our valeting stage. AutoGlym aligns with our values through complying with BSI environmental standards and ensuring no products will be tested on animals.
Recycling Initiatives
Exclusively participating in certified recycling programs to ensure all of our waste is correctly and responsibly dealt with after we have disposed of it, recycling all of materials like paper and cardboard, plastic, and metal within our dealership and business.
Eco-Friendly Vehicle Options
We offer a range of eco-friendly vehicles, including hybrids and small engine super economical vehicles in both diesel and petrol, encouraging and allowing our customers to make sustainable choices. These often come with low road tax and insurance grouping to further cost saving.
Responsible Disposal Practices
We understand the environmental hazards associated with improper waste disposal. It is our responsibility to ensure correct treatment of our waste products and have found the correct business partners to ensure our waste is taken care of appropriately. We have implemented stringent waste management practices to ensure the responsible disposal of used tires, batteries, car oil and all of our waste.
Used Tire Recycling
We partner with certified tire recycling facilities to ensure that used tires are disposed of responsibly.
Our used tires or end of life tyres (ELT) are collected, shredded, and recycled to create various rubber products, reducing the burden on landfill and creating a secondary life with our waste products.
Battery and Metal Recycling
We work with authorised recycling centres to handle used batteries and our scrap metals.
Old batteries and scrap metals are carefully transported to recycling facilities by ourselves where the valuable materials are extracted and reused in new products.
Waste Fluid Management
Used engine oil and other waste fluids are collected and stored in compliance with environmental regulations in a safe and secure environment.
We contract with authorised waste oil disposal companies, ensuring proper recycling. Waste car oil is refined before being remanufactured into brand new engine oil, reducing the need for newly found oils and contributing towards a circular economy.

Proper Tire Maintenance
Maintain your tires regularly to extend their lifespan and reduce the need for frequent replacements. This can be ensuring the correct tyre pressure, steering alignment and using the correct tyres for the season. Through reducing rolling resistance and ensuring that the tires wear evenly. This ensures improved fuel efficiency, as the engine doesn't have to work as hard to propel the vehicle.
Regular Mechanical Maintenance
Essential for ensuring vehicle efficiency and plays a significant role in reducing environmental impacts. Such as Improved Fuel Efficiency, Emission Reduction, Prolonged Vehicle Lifespan with proper maintenance extends the life of a vehicle. When components like the engine, transmission, and brakes are well-maintained, they are less likely to fail prematurely and require replacement. Frequent maintenance can identify and address minor issues before they become major problems. Fixing small issues early can prevent the need for more extensive repairs or component replacements.
Ensuring Correct Waste Disposal
When choosing a workshop or garage to perform maintenance, service or repair work such as changing your car's oil or changing brake discs and pads you can ensure it is handled and disposed of properly at a certified facility when choosing us to take care of you and your vehicle.
