Qwerty Automotive began in late 2019 dealing used cars from Jamie’s parents driveway. There has always been a clear goal in mind - to supply quality used vehicles to the southwest of England and buck the trend and operate with honesty and integrity. Jamie began trading in motor vehicles while still completing his degree, combining his love of cars and business. Expanding Qwerty Automotive, Jamie made the decision to step down from his placement position during his sandwich year to fully dedicate himself to the business, remaining in Devon for final year of study while running Qwerty. In 2021, we moved into our first Unit on Pottery Road and began investing extensively to internalise our quality control through expanding our services and capabilities and allowing us to offer the best service possible.
Mark
Takes car of the valeting process of our vehicles preperation. After retiring from his 38-year career in the Police & Prison service, he has been vital to every step of the journey with Qwerty Automotive. His attention to detail is unmatched, taking great pride in making every car look its best. Jamie can't remember a time in his life when his Dad wasn't polishing a car to an inch of its life. When Mark isn't hard at work, he enjoys cleaning his truck, his motorbike, and his love for all things Bristol (not the Rovers!).
Curtis
Our head Mechanic who joined our team in early 2022. With a decade of experience in the industry, he is an integral part of our business heading up the workshop and taking care of our sales preperation and service & repair work. Curtis is responsible for ensuring that our vehicles are mechanically prepared to the highest standards. When he's not caring for our fine automobiles, you'll find him spending time with his young family or in the shed running his own business specialising in marine Coral and Fish.
Jabie
Our apprentice has been with us since mid 2024. We found Jabie at a local car meet and after hours of discussion comparing Honda’s we invited him to join us and he began his journey to become a fully qualified technician. You can find him assisting Curtis, appraising and preparing our vehicles, or polishing his tools. He is a great asset to us with a great eye for detail and a great propsect. If you are looking for quick chat, do not mention Honda.
